Last Month

So where have I been for the last month?

Guess the problem there is that I haven’t really been anywhere this last month, which has kind of failed the travel side of the blog.

I’ve travelled around England a little, but that was visiting friends rather than experiencing places.

But mostly I’ve been in my room writing, although obviously not this blog as I haven’t posted in a month. Sorry about that.

I’ve been working on a screenplay this last month while also putting in extra hours at my job job and feeling a little down too. Nothing bad, just a little stuck.

So where I’ve really been is thinking about how to become unstuck. How to move forward.

My conclusion however, is that I need a little more patience.

Not my strong point.

Why do I need patience?

Money.

Money.

And money.

I hate money.

I’ve been working on getting myself out of debt and have made great strides towards that. Now I think I need to finish the job.

That wasn’t my initial plan. I just wanted to get things under control and then jet off to Asia and explore the continent and make music videos and films.

And that’s still what I badly want to do.

But I’m not sure when in life I will have this opportunity to rid myself of this debt once and for all again.

That’s what has been going round and round in my mind for this last month.

So I think I’m going to make the responsible decision.

Stay in England a little longer (Probably the end of the year) and just get it sorted.

If an opportunity comes up I’ll take it.

But if not, then I’ll be here for that little bit longer.

What to do in the meantime?

While I’ve set myself some personal goals the main thing I’m looking to get on with is the creative stuff. This last month has been the beginning of that.

So…

There’s a lot I want to do.

And I can do a lot of that here.

While there’s stuff to finish, there’s also stuff to learn.

Am thinking I can use this time as basically a prologue and just move myself forward.

Want to use this blog as a record of the creative stuff I’m getting on with but as also discussed in a previous blog make sure that I’m promoting other people’s work I love as well.

One of the key things I’m looking to do over the next few years is promote the work of artists and film makers I love and this seems like as good a time as any to start.

My aim is to make one production of sorts a month, as a minimum. What that means yet I’m not to sure.

But I’ll figure it out.

What I know is if I use the rest of this year correctly and do get myself out of debt then I really can start having the future I’ve been dreaming about of late.

For the moment however I need to live in the present and use this time rather than wishing it away.

Lets see how that goes.

Hopefully I can get back to regular blogging as well now as It’s been to long and the last couple have been more reflective than active.

Time to change that.

Stephen.
